My Brief

For my idea I have decided to look at the possibility of cybernetic implants into the human body. By this I mean a small chip inserted into the body at birth which are compulsory that houses all of the information collected on that person. So a sort of embodiment of all the digital and personal details into a single devise stored within the subjects body.

There are a number of pros and cons to this idea and it has all ready been talked about and experimented with in the past. The main reasons for this from the governments point of view it would be to easy to identify and categorize people by their personal information. Also it has the potential to be able to track and monitor the exact location and activities of every individual.

But this is one aspect of the use of this type of technology. It could also be used as a way to distinguish social networks i.e the likes and dislikes that an individual may have and how they may or may not be compatible with you. For example if there was a accessible data base of information which could be accessed by any one person (similar to facebook or myspace) there would be no need to physically interact with this person to find out their likes and dislikes. So with that in mind the way we interact socially when we go out may change as we essentially browse a catalog of people search for people with similar interest.
